Casey DuBose杜凱希: A graduate of BYU with a degree in Chinese, I have studied and taught Chinese for over 7 years. Much of that time I have spent living and traveling in Chinese-speaking areas, including two years as a Christian missionary in Taiwan. I am fluent in Mandarin Chinese. I currently author two blogs - The Du Family Blog and the China Aviation Law Blog.
Jo Lan (Noah) DuBose 舒 若蘭 : I am a Taiwanese native and originally came to the USA for a masters degree at BYU in Instructional Psychology and Technology. I have always had an interest in teaching. In Taiwan,I taught and designed English courses at one of the biggest language schools in the country. I’ve taught Chinese 101 at Brigham Young University and was a advanced language tutor for the Chinese Flagship Program at BYU. I am fluent in standard Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese. My mother hails from Canton and so I am fluent in Cantonese. I enjoy camping, cooking and Chinese Painting.
We are located in our brand new location in downtown Seattle, WA.
We generally design classes for the student. If you are an
executive we will teach you business Chinese. If you are traveling to
China on vacation, we'll teach you all about the country and tourist
Chinese. If you are a child, we have some great kids programs.
Language Courses in three languages:
Mandarin Chinese (Simplified and Traditional Characters)
Cantonese Chinese
In addition to language instruction, we offer other classes
about China.
Chinese Painting and Calligraphy: Learn Chinese calligraphy and
traditional landscape paining. (No Chinese experience required)
Chinese AP Test Prep: We cover the strategies and skills needed to pass
the AP language test for Chinese.

Currently, we are only offering private lessons. Noah teaches the upper level classes, most of the private lessons, and the Chinese painting class. Casey teaches the children, introductory, history and philosophy classes.
Private Lessons - $30 per person per hour
Group Rate with 5 or more people: $15 per person per hour.
We teach from a variety of materials. If you already own
Chinese textbooks, we will try to adapt to teach from them. We also
have a few textbooks available for purchase.
